Hurricane Preparedness for Business and Families
The following slide show is a 2015 hurricane preparedness guide that was developed by Gulf Canyons LLC on behalf of the Ponchatoula Chamber of Commerce. The information provided in the presentation is intended to be used for basic direction by residents of southeast Louisiana, and it should not be considered a comprehensive emergency preparedness plan. Please feel free to use it for personal assistance. If you would like to reproduce, copy, or show it to another group, please send a permission request using the Contact Us page. During the oil spill response following the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion in 2010, Gulf Canyons was selected to provide HAZWOPER training to the participants in the BP Vessels of Opportunity (VOO) program. Thousands of workers were trained and certified rapidly and effectively, to safely respond to one of the largest maritime disasters in modern history. The frantic nature of disaster response presents unique hazards and safety challenges. Gulf Canyons prepares workers to meet these challenges with awareness, alertness, and vigilance.
OSHA citations can mean dire consequences, and if your company is cited, you only have 72 hours to file an appeal. You need experienced, knowledgeable representation as quickly as possible. The ramifications of OSHA violations are often highly complex, and many companies pay fines and suffer penalties unjustly. Gulf Canyons has achieved a 100% success rate in contests of OSHA citations, including cases that have reached as high as the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC).
Gulf Canyons is proud to host a long list of esteemed clients, including many Fortune 500 companies, who have entrusted the development of Policies, Procedures, and Corporate Safety Manuals to our expert technical writers.
